I weighted the fabric, then counted the proper amount of dye, then strategically used only half of it. As an experiment one piece of fabric was pre-soaked and the other - dry. Next part - according to instructions.

Tying plus smaller amount of dye worked nicely. I don't see any difference between the pre-soaked and the dry piece (the rectangular-ish one was pre-soaked), except for different "paths" of ties, of course. The color was supposed to be black but turned out grey with blue-teal shade, not bad actually.
